Sylvie Messer

Sylvie Messer is a second-year student in the Clinical Psychology, Health Emphasis Ph.D. Program. She graduated from Hunter College, CUNY with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She then worked as a research assistant in the Horga Lab at The New York State Psychiatric Institute, Columbia University Irving Medical Center, working on neuroimaging studies with patients with schizophrenia. She is currently training as a clinical psychology extern at Brooklyn College Personal Counseling Program, where she leads individual and group therapy with young adults.

Jill Bednarz, LMHC

Jill is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who graduated with her masters from Brooklyn College. Jill worked with Brooklyn Community Services for two years with people who live with Schizophrenia and other severe mental illnesses in an outpatient program. She also had experience from the same agency working with children and families as support to the child welfare system through an internship. Jill has been working with a group therapy practice for two years and started her private practice one year ago. Jill works with individual adults who struggle with Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, and Identify Development including LGBTQIA persons.

Allyana Wiviott

"Ally is a mental health professional with a background in working with children, families and adults. Before becoming a therapist, Ally was an elementary school educator focused and driven by social-emotional aspects of learning and growth. Ally approaches therapy collaboratively alongside clients, and seeks to foster healing and self discovery. Ally has additional training in: trauma-focused therapy, eating disorder treatment, and interpersonally-focused approaches. Ally holds a Mental Health Counseling Limited Permit and an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist registration. She has her Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University. She works as a therapist in Brooklyn, NY

Jennifer Gittleman

Jenn Gittleman is a third-year student in the Clinical Psychology (Health Emphasis) PhD program. She graduated cum laude from The George Washington University with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Health and Wellness. She was a psychology extern at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital on the Horizon and Women inpatient units and will be completing her second externship at Nassau University Medical Center. She also completed an externship with the NYS Office of Mental Health providing brief emotional support to the general population and first responders experiencing stress reactions during the COVID-19 pandemic. Further, Jenn is a research assistant in both the Smoking and Nicotine Dependence Research Lab at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology and the BOLD Cancer Wellness Program at Albert Einstein Cancer Center.
